The process control system provides an attractive web-based interface for the transparent and clear visualization of the numerous current and historical messages. It displays all digital messages (error messages, operational messages, warnings etc.), in chronological order and accurate to the millisecond. Fast and targeted evaluation is made possible by extensive filtering and search criteria.
The filtered events can immediately be outputted to a printer or are available for further electronic use in csv format. An individual comment can be entered and stored for each message, and saved for documentation and tracking purposes.
Messages are evaluated over definable periods at the push of a button, by means of frequency analysis, resulting in a comprehensive analysis tool for the evaluation of the process plant. In addition, the entire message archive can be sent automatically, for example on a regular basis by email to a responsible superior.
- Maximum plant availability
- Overview of operating and error messages
- Proactive failure prediction
- Automatic error notification
- Analysis of all digital messages
- Individual comments
- Statistical evaluation
Operating personnel must always be reliably alerted to critical process plant conditions as quickly as possible, so they can promptly avert hazards and consequential personal and material damage. As a result, the process plant availability should always remain at the highest level.
All analogue and digital process values recorded in the FlowChief process control system can be monitored and alarmed in various ways, so that process conditions can be inspected in a proactive manner. The clients themselves can assign the required urgency and alarm method to specific messages, flexibly and without any programming knowledge.
Alarm and error messages can also be synthesized to speech and issued automatically from the configuration. Depending on the selected alarm method, messages can be acknowledged locally as well as remotely in various ways. Ideally, errors are already detected through trends and a breakdown of the process plant is avoided.
- Automated, timely error notification
- Freely customizable prioritization of all messages
- Issued by SMS, email, telephone call (landline, mobile and VoIP)
- Text-to-speech voice output
- Variable confirmation functions
Standby duty schedule
A process plant can also be supervised by staff on standby duty outside of normal working hours with the help of the FlowChief process control system.
Using the web-enabled interface, all employees can be entered individually according to their own organizational forms, and informed through the relevant messages. Messages that require acknowledgment are repeated until they are received by the person responsible. If a person on standby duty cannot respond to an important message, it is automatically routed to the next member of staff.
Complete escalation levels can be set up for critical messages in this way. Higher-level settings automatically detect flutter errors and notification cascades, in order to avoid alarms being issued unnecessarily. The overall system can be divided into different standby and shift schedules in more complex organizations.
Integrated evaluation and monitoring functions
A wide range of evaluation methods are available specifically for the prevention and diagnosis of leaks, pipe ruptures and other process errors.
Any process values and conditions can be automated without programming effort, ranging from simple limit value violations to monitoring of stagnation and gradients, up to the evaluation of trends. Unnecessary false alarms are prevented by the additional option to restrict these evaluations to certain times of the day.
- Monitoring of limit values, stagnation and gradients
- Early detection of process irregularities
- Evaluation dependent on the time of day
- Fixed and dynamic thresholds
- Online and long term monitoring
